IBRAHIM .N. PARTNERS act as Lead Legal Counsel in iconic IPO of Alef Education Holding PLC

Abu Dhabi, UAE – June 12, 2024 – Today marks an important milestone with the bell ringing ceremony of Alef Education Holding PLC, the first-ever educational technology company to list in the UAE. The company has successfully listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX).

IBRAHIM .N. PARTNERS had the distinct honor of acting as the lead legal counsel to the issuer. Our firm was instrumental in drafting the prospectus with a level of quality of disclosure enabling Alef Education Holding PLC to market its IPO to institutional investors across the GCC and Europe.

This achievement is particularly notable as it represents the first time in the UAE that a local law firm has served as the lead issuer’s counsel and authored a prospectus facilitating the marketing of an IPO to such a broad and international investor base. This milestone sets IBRAHIM .N. PARTNERS apart from all other local and regional law firms, positioning us at the forefront of legal counsel for IPOs in the UAE.

The IPO of Alef Education Holding PLC has been a resounding success, with the offering being oversubscribed 39 times. This remarkable achievement underscores the strong investor confidence in Alef Education and the robust legal guidance provided by IBRAHIM .N. PARTNERS.

Managing Partner Ahmed Ibrahim commented, “We are incredibly proud to have played a pivotal role in this landmark IPO. This success not only highlights the growing confidence in the UAE’s educational technology sector but also reaffirms our firm’s capability to lead and innovate in complex and high-value transactions.”
