Jo Lit

Jo Lit is an accomplished senior corporate lawyer covering wide range of high-profile, cross-border corporate, securities, financing, private equity investment, and M&A transactions.

In her capacity as offshore legal adviser, Lit advised and completed the listings of over 100 companies in Hong Kong, US and Taiwan since 2007.

Her groundbreaking IPO deals include USIPO and the first dual primary listing in Hong Kong of Bilibili Inc., HKIPO of ESR Cayman Limited (one of the top 3 HKIPOs in 2019), HKIPO of Ascletis Pharma Inc, the first biochemical pre-profit company listed under new Hong Kong Listing Rules in 2018, and first Cayman company listing of Integrated Memory Logic on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in 2010.

Lit has extensive experience advising complex cross-border M&A transactions for Chinese clients, with a particular focus on listed companies.

Lit joins Ibrahim & Partners as a partner from Walkers, Hong Kong. She received her L.L.B. from the University of Hong Kong, and is admitted in England and Wales and Hong Kong, and has been qualified to practise in the BVI and Bermuda.

In addition, Lit is an affiliate member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and Advanced Certified AML Specialist in Risk Management. Lit articled with Deacons, Hong Kong’s top tier law firm and was qualified in its renowned corporate finance team in 2002 as Hong Kong solicitor. Over the years, she has practised law with an array of international and offshore law firms in Hong Kong, including, Appleby, Maples, Richards Butler, Tanner De Witt, and has worked in the listing division of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.

Lit is fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese.
