Mohamed Hegazy, PhD.

Dr. Mohamed Hegazy possesses over 20 years of local and regional experience in the public and private sectors in intellectual property laws and regulations.

Dr. Hegazy’s tenure as Head of the Legislative & Legal Committee at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Egypt is just one example of the breadth and depth of his expertise and legacy.

He headed the Intellectual Property Rights Bureau of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) of Egypt.

He has extensive experience working and negotiating with various government entities and businesses on critical legislative topics, regulatory frameworks, and public policy issues

In addition to his extensive legal experience, Dr. Hegazy is a certified data protection officer (CDPO) & (CDPSE); certified cybersecurity ISO 27001 lead auditor and implementer; and certified ISO 27701 privacy management specialist.

Dr. Hegazy’s lecturing portfolio spans over numerous institutes and entities, including the Egyptian Police Academy, the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, Cairo University’s Faculty of Mass Communication, and the Egyptian National Judicial Studies Center.
